Provincial Co-operative Minister Colonel Malik Muhammad Anwar (Retd) on Tuesday visited tent village, set up at Chakwal, to provide shelters to the victims of earthquake. He was accompanied by administration, army and civil officers and social organisations' representatives, said an official release.

Addressing the people, the minister said that people of Punjab had expressed their solidarity with the victims in this critical situation and would provide all possible assistance to them till their permanent rehabilitation.

He said that the government would set up a 50-bed hospital at Balakot and cargo containers of medicines, surgical instruments had been provided as well as doctors and paramedics had also been deputed to provide medical relief to the victims.

Punjab Government had launched a big project on emergency basis to manufacture artificial limbs in collaboration with British doctors.

He said central office of the plan 'adopt one family' had been set up at the Chief Minister House Lahore and CM would himself supervise it and sub offices would be established in Islamabad, NWFP and Azad Kashmir, he said.
